Advisory and Consultancy

Not every situation calls for a full-time executive. Sometimes what a leadership team needs is a trusted, experienced perspective from someone who has operated at the most senior level and has no interest in telling you what you want to hear.

I work in an advisory and consultancy capacity with PE firms, boards and leadership teams who are navigating transformation, restructuring, growth or strategic inflection. I am direct, analytically grounded and practically experienced — and I treat every client relationship as a genuine intellectual partnership, not a service delivery transaction.

What this covers:

Pre-deal operational due diligence: For PE firms assessing acquisition targets, I conduct operational due diligence across manufacturing, supply chain and operational functions — identifying and quantifying value creation levers, stress-testing the management case, surfacing operational risks not visible in the data room, and building the post-acquisition transformation roadmap.

Operating model design and transformation: For organisations that have identified the need for significant change but need to define what that change looks like — assessing the current state, modelling options and designing the programme that bridges the gap.

Transformation programme governance: Designing and implementing the frameworks, processes and tools that give senior leadership and sponsors confidence in delivery without creating the bureaucracy that slows programmes down.

Supply chain strategy and optimisation: End-to-end supply chain strategy covering network design, inventory optimisation, procurement strategy, warehouse management, logistics and the integration of new manufacturing technologies.

Value creation planning: For PE-backed businesses — translating the investment thesis into a structured, sequenced value creation plan with a clear EBITDA bridge, initiative prioritisation and governance design.

How engagements are structured:

Advisory engagements are structured to fit the situation — from a defined diagnostic with recommendations to an ongoing strategic partnership retained over months. Most conversations start with a single question. The scope clarifies from there.
